Working from her Bristol studio, Alex Lucas has been causing an almighty stir on the art scene with her quirky illustrated characters and iconic Window Shop destination. We’re huge fans of her work and were absolutely delighted when she agreed to design bespoke art works for The Birdcage which she hand-painted on the interior for us. We love that Alex has just designed the £5 note for the Bristol Pound, a local currency designed to support our city’s independent businesses, high streets and community.
